第七集：公主驾到

The Golden Coach started down the road.
金色马车开始上路了。

"Wait!" godmother called.
"等等！" 教母喊道。

The coach stopped. Cinderella looked back. "What is it?"
马车停了下来。灰姑娘回头看。"怎么了？"

"You must obey one rule tonight," godmother said. "You must leave the ball by midnight, or—"
"今晚你必须遵守一条规则。" 教母说，"你必须在午夜前离开舞会，否则 ——"

"Or yes?" Cinderella asked.
"否则什么？" 灰姑娘问。

"Poof," godmother said, "your golden coach will disappear. Your clothes will turn back into rags."
"噗，" 教母说，"你的金色马车就会消失，你的衣服会变回破布。"

Cinderella nodded. "I promise, godmother, I will leave the ball by midnight."
灰姑娘点点头。"我保证，教母，我会在午夜前离开舞会。"

The horses took off again. "Thank you!" Cinderella called.
马又出发了。"谢谢你！" 灰姑娘喊道。

At the ball, the prince danced with many fine ladies.
在舞会上，王子和许多淑女跳舞。

One fine lady talked too much. One fine lady danced too fast. One fine lady stepped on his toes.
一位淑女话太多，一位淑女跳得太快，一位淑女踩到了他的脚趾。

"This is boring," the prince thought. He went outside and sighed.
"真无聊。" 王子想着，走到外面叹了口气。

There were many fine ladies at the ball, but he didn't want to marry any of them.
舞会上有许多淑女，但他一个都不想娶。

Just then, the prince spotted something. A golden coach was coming.
就在这时，王子看到了什么 —— 一辆金色马车正驶来。

"Who's that?" he said. "It looks like a beautiful princess."
"那是谁？" 他说，"看起来像一位美丽的公主。"

The golden coach arrived at the palace.
金色马车到达了宫殿。

Cinderella saw a handsome young man. "The prince," she whispered.
灰姑娘看到一个英俊的年轻人。"王子。" 她低声说。

The prince rushed down the steps. "Hello," he said softly.
王子冲下台阶。"你好。" 他轻声说。

He bowed and took Cinderella's hand.
他鞠了一躬，握住灰姑娘的手。

The prince and Cinderella entered the ballroom.
王子和灰姑娘走进了舞厅。

Everyone hushed. "Who is that?" they whispered. "Who is that beautiful princess?"
所有人都安静下来。"那是谁？" 他们低声说，"那位美丽的公主是谁？"
